Executive
Purpose: Review SILC business in between quarterly meetings
Meeting frequency: Monthly
Composition: SILC Officers and Committee Chairs

Finance
Purpose: Ensure the SILC’s financial stability by providing oversight on its budget.
Meeting frequency: Quarterly

Nominations and Development
Purpose: Review appointments, recruit members and oversee training for members.
Meeting frequency: Monthly

Public Information and Education
Purpose: Promote the improvement and maintenance of the quality of life and the independent living of persons with disabilities through the education of the public and decision makers. Support of local, statewide and national advocacy efforts which ensure the civil rights of persons with disabilities.

State Plan
Purpose: Prepare the Three Year State Plan for Independent Living in compliance with the Rehabilitation Act as amended, monitor implementation of the State Plan, and advise the Council on the need for amendment and oversee that process, if necessary.
Meeting frequency: Quarterly during SPIL monitoring, more frequently during SPIL development
